Tow Dolly In Auckland Region

Postby xsspeed » Sun Jan 06, 2008 4:44 pm

Hey Auckland toyspeeders, im picking up a frot end damaged fxgt this week, cant be driven so im after a tow dolly, the mini trailer thing that takes the front of a car so you can tow it.

So does anyone have one or no where to hire one for cheap, have been quoted 50 for two hours, but thats like a quarter of what im paying for the car anyway.

Failing that anyone gota car transporter that they wouldnt mind lending out. Can pay with beer.

Pref. central suburbs.

Also looking.

Where did you get quoted $50?

Hirepool does car trailers for about $60 for 4 hours from memory.

north harbour rentals did me a car trailer for 70 for a whole day, im sure you could find something similar but you need to book at least a few days in advance cause they are usually all gone for the weekend come thursday

mcentee hire, $50 - 65

was really hoping for a tow dolly cos the car wont start and might be a mission to get up on trailer. Do most car transporters have a winch?

When I picked up my AE82 it was a non runner (still is  ), the hirepool trailer had a winch.

I think I'll go for a trailer again...

Hirepool and Mcentee don't hire A-frames or dollies anymore. Too many problems.
