Ive seen footage of a hiyabusa escort. 300bhp, 14,000 rpm. It made the coolest sound you could ever imagine.

Just rediculiously fast....

As for finding a hayabusa engine, you wont find them on tardme, you would need to go to a motorcycle wrecker.

Also theres a 2age on trademe atm, 2a running a 4age smallport head. That looks like it could be a hell of a laugh. Throw some 4agze pistons in it, slap a little turbo on the side, you would be away laughing

The only 8's you can't beat are the Top Fuel ones, anything else and there are import motors getting up there

Though a Top Fuel motor in a KP starlet would be interesting!

A Hayabusa is a motorbike engine which makes 170hp+ from a 1000cc and sounds AWESOME People turbocharge them and make 500hp.

Its getting quite common to have motor bike engines in light weight bodyshelled race cars. eg, kp starlet, lotus 7's, etc. I've even seen a mini with a IRS rear and a hayabusa motor!

Have to have an electric motor for reverse though.

Just about to go through all that.

We have a Hayabusa engine that we got a month or so ago,
they are 1300cc and close to 300hp isn't that hard without a turbo on them.
Hard to get them complete with loom and dash etc etc.

Just waiting for the car to turn up now.
Going to be a project for later in the year,
so may do a build thread on it as it progresses.

Iv heard about conversions of the newer WRX motor being installed to these with some pretty intense wheel spinning...was even a converted RWD for sale on TM not that long ago.

lol if you look through the pictures of the prius, on the 7th image, theres a dude doing somthing pretty suspect to the car in front!
