also considered were things like whos in place to arrange things, facilities etc etc

manfield is only a short drive up the road, theres also a private mercedes racetrack in ohariu and that aforementioned slipway facility too. lots of tracks in wellington, whether we use any is a different story.

EDIT - And by that I mean so Dunedin is at the top, rather than everyone in the South Island being under water

should be no dramas for us Lloyd. reckon the cheapest option is to get cheap flights, buy a hack in Welly, and road trip home. would save almost half fuel, 1 ferry crossing, and s/he who lives the furthest, gets to take car home and sell it to re-coup costs for those involved!!
