tyre shining the wheels? dodgy!!!

buying a repo'd car is just asking for problems, if the previous owner didn't care enough to pay the repayments, chances are they won't care if its run into the ground I guess

At the end of the day, any car can be neglected or looked after.

But if you don't have the money to pay the finance company, how much will you have to look after your car?

i'm not saying every other car for sale has been looked after, but the chance of a repo'd car being in tip top condition is lower than that of any other situation I would think 8)

Looks like im buying that Subaru Leone RX :-p TradeMe Link

Current plans an ideas,

-Paint Subaru blue color
-Get wheel spacers made up and fit either 4x100 or 4x114
-Find rally style wheels & paint gold
-Put lots & lots of Subaru related stickers all over it!!

Future mods,

-Subaru 2L dohc EJ20 turbo motor & trans swap.

Can anyone alse add anything that mite make it the part?

Edit: P.S. i got it for 1.4K in the end, so even if i get bored with it & sell for 1k im not dissapointed

Yeah i know how they feel to drive, my bro used to have a station wagon type witch had the same motor. Its going to feel gutless even with just coming from a 4A-GE 8O

i reckon the leone has potential. debadge it and most people wont recognise it, get the ride height at a more respectable level with some nice 15's or something, and find a wrecked STi in japan to get the driveline out of!

Deff try and stealth look it. But your bang on the mark about the height thing, gotta sort that out. Maybe convert to RWD and run a 4A-GE? there about as light as an AE86 so it plausable...suspensions a biatch, but nothing a bit of fab work couldnt fix. And plenty of LSD's, due to the fact the legacy or wrd diff bolts right in.

Haha, it has got a bit off subject, my bad. Kp's have never done it for me, just something about there small size. As i mentiond above, a 4A-GE mite be in order, mint enough by my standards. Yeah there would be very few people to say the leone is sexy, but i think with enough time spent lowering it and some nice 15's/16's and time spent finding the top spec Jap leone bodykit and it could look ok..

imo, just because it's old, doesn't mean it's cool.

How about MRS with 2ZZ-GE + Turbo with Toyota technocraft bodykit
Or Previa, rip out the supercharger and turbo it, they are RWD.
New model. Rav 4 with 3S-GTE + Celica running gear.

Yeah I hear people saying MRS omg gaayness
But check this:
http://www.superstreetonline.com/featur ... to_03.html

and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n3hMQvb6GE

1'07" around Tsukuba while sliding around ain't too shabby.

I'd hit it.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.
