Stuffed Caldina Tweeter

Postby BZG Wagon » Sat Dec 22, 2007 10:27 pm

One of the tweeters in the caldina stuffed out. I had no luck in fixing it & was told its not worth the effort in trying.

So I've been looking for some new (cheap) tweeters. I see a brand on trademe called 'Boschmann'.

Does anyone know anything about the Boschmann brand? Has anyone used their componentary & post a review?

They are overly hungry for power for no reason. I had a set of Boschmann 6x9's. They were crap, the surrounds broke on them and they couldn't handle any volume at all.

Wouldn't touch em with a barge pole. Though then again they are only tweeters and as long as you aren't paying too much i.e $100 then not a bad idea. Just remember you could pick up some decent components for that price.

Jaycar sells generic ones for cheap. Nothing wrong with them, definitely better than Boschmann.
