Are you talking about getting them to go down the drag strip? I think the problem with that idea is that it will cost a lot more to run the drag day, because you have to hire the ambulance etc for them to be allowed to run anywhere close to their potential.

I have a question about the drag day
If I made up a pipe so that my exhaust went out the side of the car, behind the front wheel - that wouldn't be street legal, but would it be ok for the strip?

Hi Guys

Cost for drags being held at fram autolite dragway meremere is $50 per car.
Cars must have wof/rego (if not a road car, talk to us to discuss options)
helmet as normal.

I will let you know the other rules once we get hold of the rule book, but its all fairly standard stuff.

$50 will need to be paid in full asap to confirm your spot.

Fire and st johns will be on site.

Food, you have 2 choices.. bring your own or we will look at a caterer.

Classes, there will be 4 maybe 5 classes.
mk2, mk3, mk4 and other (mk1 class to be added if any turn up)

More details to be released soon.

Regards

Matt

as far as we are concerned, most people are going there for fun.
IF someone has put the time and money into their car and driving, they deserve to win.

But i think most people are just interested in having fun so its no problem.
