Coming up (eventually, I swear), a satin black widebody SW (honestly, I WILL do it one day!!!)

Yea, the blue really suits it. I don't really like the black one, I think probably because its on standard wheels etc. Very stockish, except for the paint.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Satin/matte finish paint sucks IMO!

If you want paint that looks like that, just buy a red 1990ish toyota and leave it out in the sun. :P

Looks unfinished to me, or too cheap/lazy for a proper paintjob. (or oxidized to hell)

I think that some of those cars look good despite the paint, rather than because of it.

If there was an identical one but in glossy black, I bet it would look a million times better.

In my ever so humble opinion, of course. :P

those satin painted cars do look very mean, but I think you'd find maintenance to be a bastard, generally with a satin paint, because the surface is a lot rougher (on a microscopic level) it will be a lot more difficult to keep the car clean, and you'd have to be mindful to never polish/buff it or you'd end up with glossy spots

Satin rules, end of.

Check out Hondatech, there's bazillions of satin/matte painted cars on there.

Me, I'm keen on a nice satin beige for the ITR.

I like the way good satin / matte paint looks. Although the car would have to be straight panel wise, as it shows up any lines / creases really well. I like the way it emphasises the guards on the wide cars. Every line on the car can be seen well... Wouldn't be good as far as cleaning goes though.

When in doubt, down and out.
