"Dished" steering wheel

Postby Dragger_Dan » Wed Mar 05, 2008 1:42 pm

Does anybody know of a 'dished' steering wheel? By dished I mean that the outer hub is closer to the driver than the inner hub that mounts to the boss kit. I know of one that fits the bill... Momo Mod 08. The only problem is finding one of those for under the $500 mark really.

I'm a cheap bastard and don't really care what brand it is (as long as it isn't cheap junk), so I was hoping for a wheel around the $100 to $200 mark really.

The whole problem comes from knees touching the back of the steering wheel when racing. The alternative would be a race seat mounted in the right position. But that isn't the cheap alternative.

NZKW do an OMP knock-off one, under $200 from memory and is suede...

Sparco ones are available from mag and turbo (shudder) and will set you back approx $340... suede once again.

And I believe EVLTEK on NZHondas has some of the NRG Innovations dished wheels, around similar money to the Sparco's.

Momo Mod 07, 08 and Drift professional are all 350mm deep dish Suede wheels and I can supply you one for $330 inc gst delivered.

I have one on my corolla, 350mm sounds large but they are a nicely sized wheel and feel VERY nice
