Sale via Toyspeed sorted... Skin is just slack :)

Postby barryogen » Wed Mar 19, 2008 2:43 pm

about 6 weeks ago I agreed to purchase some bits from a fellow Toyspeed member. he hasn't delivered. :(

The last communication I got from him was this on Feb 16th.
Hey mate, just thought i would let you know im still sending the intercooler setup, incase you thought i had taken the money and ran!! Laughing

Sorry about the delay, im sending it through work, but i have been so busy i havent had a chance to actually organise the courier. Its sitting all boxed up and ready to go, as soon as i get the chance.

He's seen my latest PM as it is in the sent box as opposed to sitting in the outbox.

The value of the bits is about $400, which is not a small amount, but I'm getting more and more concerned that he's just one of those dodgy bastards that seem to pop up from time to time.

So, do I...
contact the mods/admins and see if they'll give me any further info on him so I can follow legal pathways?

give him a blasting with name and shame via toyspeed?

something else that I can't think of at the moment?

Thanks.

it'd cost me more to get there and sort it than it would be worth, that, and prior fighting offences(from school years) would mean I'd be in jail fairly quickly.

he hasn't posted since the 10th, I'm watching him fairly close.

Maybe have a check through his old posts & see if there is a contact number mentioned in any of them. Otherwise appeal to people in his area, there will be someone on here that knows contact details.
Even others that may have dealt with him before could have a number or address

Its me.

Have sent him a message explaining my situation. Its not much of an excuse. Basically i have been flat out at work lately, we have been really understaffed. That combined with finding a courier that wont cost me the earth due the size of the time(im sending it for free) has meant that its still sitting at work. And those who know me know i CAN be a bit slack and forgetfull at times.

Definitly no deviousness on my part i assure everyone. Been a long standing member here for almost 6 years, and most old skoolers know me.

Anyway, my apologies Dave, im throwing in a freebie for the hassle

Im not trying to be a smart ar$e, but couriers pick up items for free...so just jump online and get a price (to see whos the cheapest) and then ask them to collect the item

Albany or North Shore Toyota?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
