What do you want?

PM me - I'm at Mastertrade Palmy, if it's domestic/commercial stuff. 8)

For car stuff I'd hit Jaycar every time.

corys or ideal electrical, not sure if you have any down there but there's usually at least one or the other in most major cities

Yes, J.A. Russel sells good quality stuff, but Ive found is also the most expensive. We mainly use Cory's, but also depends on what brand of stuff you want, as different wholesalers stock mainly one brand.

Also helps if you have a trade account with them

depends on what brands you want and they all tend to serve a different purpose.

theres:

Rexel (not much in stock but cheap)
advance (almost everything in stock but $$$)
coreys (don't use due to company politics 10years ago)
ideal (owned by same people as Rexel)
mastertrade (supposedly quite good allrounder)
egleys (lots of random low voltage electrical stuff/electronics)

if you walk in off the street you'll get charged trade price+however much % they feel like charging you, depends on how much they like the look of you.

if you know someone with a trade account and can get trade prices we generally get trade - 40-50%

definitly find someone who can get a trade discount. there retail prices are crazy. i work for a big company and some of the discounts are up to 80% depending what you buy, shows how much markup is on the stuff
