My sisters car was stolen out of my parents driveway this morning between midnight and 5am from the milson area in Palmerston North

Details:
Yellow
6 Cylinder and Auto
No other features apart from 17" privat wheels black with polished lip

It has a dynatron alarm and immobilizer and my parents sleep directly above the driveway where it was parked and didnt hear a thing, so we can only assume that it was put onto a truck and towed?

If you hear anything please let me know,

Cheers
Sam

Thats a good point, they would have to be quite keen though, shes owned it for over 2 years, and it was a trade in at courtesy ford before that, and from what i have been told the old owners arent from Palmy...

lol a friend had their car stolen recently. thieves drove it round for 2 weeks until the steering lock lockedup and they put it into a curb.

police found no prints the thieves went to all the effort to wipe down the whole car.

then left their WINZ letter under the seat with all their details on it.

How is that conclusive?

I could nick someones car and when i ditch it nick someones mail and put their WINZ/Bank/Power statement under the seat.
How is that conclusive evidence?

Sucks to hear about your sisters car, what a waste just to steal some mags. They must have just hooked it up and towed it away. :S

"hello"
"yes hi, this is constable radar, im calling with regards to a stolen car report"
"yes, i reported a stolen car a number of weeks back"
"ok, well we have recovered your car, and under the drivers seat was a winz form for a "johnny five aces", does this name belong to anyone you know who may have been in your car recently?"
"no, i don't know a johnny five aces"
"thankyou sir, we will hopefully be in touch"

i dunno, but to me it sounds perfectly plausable evidence

rofl.... So no lesson learnt?

I've never been a fan of big flashy wheels, for the exact reason that it makes my car a lot more likely to get stolen and burnt out. :?

Yes plausible but not conclusive. Two totally different words ;)
I never said it wasn't plausible. It is totally plausible but it is hardly conclusive.

It could have come from anywhere, stolen mail whilst looking for credit card info etc, from someone else who may have been in the car but not from the thief it self.

yeah you would expect the person whos name was on the letter to be able to explain how it got there though, and it would be pretty obvious.
the fact that they didnt bother to disable the steering lock after 2 weeks of driving it ,and carried on using a screwdriver etc shows they werent the smartest.
i thought it strange they printed the car anyway , must have been a quiet day at the office for local police :?
