I think how well he goes will depend on what class he's in if he's in the street class and does a 1.06 I think that will be right up there I've been told if you can crack 1.10 around Puke in a street car your doing real well.I no that EVO 88u has got a high HP tune for PUKE the rumour I've heard it will be in the 600-700 HP range.
The equivalent is cracking a 1.22 at Manfield I reckon while it does'nt sound that fast in a street car with street tyres or DOTs it is still pretty quick.

To a degree I think it already is a pull your wallet out event I mean look at EVO 88U last years winner $200 K and counting has gone into that car no wonder no one got near him at Taupo last year.Sure its each to there own but what chance do the other 99% of the field have against that and he was in the street class last year and even managed to embarrass all the so called tuner cars.

I went to Taupo Super Lap last year... it was fun. I managed to kill another 2nd hand crown wheel and pinion...
Personal experience tells me that... NZPC claim this to be an event for anyone, but really I think they're just trying to encourage people with big wallets... Therefore... there is a distinct need for MASSES of people to enter their toys & fast dailies. Otherwise this is just going to end up another wallet event.
