Yeah, you'll enjoy being able to go up hills in 5th

I see no more need to discuss, I think you should be out there buying one already!

Yeah, I'm pretty good on cars......people say the 6spd in the face lift bzg's and bzr's are bad for breaking.....never had an issue with mine.

Seems like you don't need to go for genuine parts, aftermarket are possibly cheaper? and better? (please confirm)

If your looking for more info dude try www.nissansilvia.co.nz ,heaps of info there and the guys are more than happy to answer any questions. Theres quite a few members with S15's so they can point you in the right direction with regards of what to look for in the car.

With regards to gas if you buy one you will most likely get 500+kms out of a tank. Their a great car and when looked after very reliable.

And trussssssssssttttttttttt me once the boost bug bites you will end up doing some mods!!

Yeah I lurk around those silvia forums, but I didn't want to post this there because I believe you guys are pretty switched on and would help me out.

Yeah 5th and 6th don't really do much in the Bz-r..... 6th is more a wank factor thing

I wouldn't own one.. I've known guys who have one/have had one, I've driven a couple, you better have deep pockets and a damn good alarm, and no demerit points to begin with!

Have you considered an ST205? Toyota, half the cost of an S15, look pretty alright, go pretty good too.. my advice.. if you like being broke, buy an S15. :)

Would get alarm, have a totally clean drivers license etc etc and deep pockets*

*actual pocket size may vary.

Yeah I wanted one ages ago, wouldn't have minded on. If I need to get a Toyota I may look at these again.

Ive got one. Very reliable, mines still on the stock clutch 80000km on and pushing 210wkw  Dont turn up the boost without a retune though. Ive done basic mods and it runs 12sec runs allday long. Gas isnt really that bad aslong as you dont boost around allday, same as all turbo cars. Only thing that bugs me is the lack of room in the back, really only a 2 or 3 seater at best. Buy one they are real nice cars 8)

It will have about the same room as my Bzr, Looked like it when I looked at an s15 w while back. It will be a 3 seater, cos I have long legs so the seat will need to be all the way back!

I don't think I would touch the engine, how ever I may later on if I get bored

Ohh no, BZR actually has more space, have mates who have either of them. I was so cramped in the back of the S15 compared to the BZR, and the driver of the BZR was bigger(bigger and taller) than the driver of the S15.

I'd have to say, the back seat of an S15 is very very very uncomfortable, definately worse than an AE111

Yeah mint cars, I wish I had the cash to get one.

I would look at getting a silvia of some sort when I get bored of the gtz.
Just too hard to find a reasonable one that hasn't been drifted or isn't "drift ready"

I have also heard bout the cams seizing but as mentioned above it's only in the earlier sr20s (which are still sweet if you change the oil regularly).

I say go for it!

They look awkward, too deep and low looking. Makes me wanna slouch just looking at them. Meh, a finer detail which can easily be overlooked!
