Quick question re: 4age 20v

Postby stalker » Wed Apr 16, 2008 12:39 am

Just wanted to double check: (cause of my nubness  )

1) The silver top 20v 4age engine...doesnt matter if its auto or manual, they are all the same engines aye?? (Ie. the bolt patterns of the bellhousing/gearbox)

2) A manual box will just bolt up to a factory auto engine??

cheers guys
:)

Im sure you already know...

But you will need a manual flywheel to bolt the manual box to the motor.

You will need flywheels bolts aswell.

Dont use the auto ones.

And you will need a spigot bearing.

Its a bearing in the back of the crank for the gearbox input shaft to mate with. The standard RWD 4AGE bearing fits all 4AGEs. If not fitted the front gearbox oil seal dies and you get an oil leak.
