did you paint it with a brush?

Cans are totally the way to go. Brushed on paint always seems to look too thick.

Nice choice of colour tho. Looks like it'll become baltic blue? its a factory mk4 supra colour which was apparantly "limited edition"ish. I think it was only released during the first two years of their production or somtehing.

I have a panda mk4 model back at the flat that i need to get pics of.

I'm in the middle of building this. Used spray can Subaru blue with a thick clear coat. Came up very shiny.

I have an airbrush which makes painting cars alot easier. I painted a Mitsi EVO 6 WRC with a brush and ruined it. Will never go back after using the airbrush. :lol:

Yea planning on getting an air brush but always gotta start somwhere have a $22 brush and thats only a first coat comes up okay if im gentle and use the paint quite thin. Ive found arcrilic to be much easyer to brush than enamel

I like your green Supra. With my first model I didn't even paint it lol.
That looks like 'Tamiya Metallic Blue' on the F&F supra? That will come up nice. Acrylic is alot better than enamel for models.

I know this is not a car but this is what my dad has done with my airbrush on a German Panther G tank.

I used to build a few, I do have some pics somewhere but I cant seem to find them

I built a mint 49 mercury and I wasn't far off finishing a custom dodge stealth pro stock drag car which started life as a fwd TT stealth, a mustang drag car and parts from around 4 other models :lol:

I sold everything a while back but I might get back into it now I have more patience and I can use an airbrush.

What type of pant for an airbrush should I use? I used to spray paint from a can into a glass jar for the airbrush but that seemed a bit rangi??

Did you undercoat it? When you're brushing the paint doesn't like sticking to plastic.

TBH I've found that (despite being ridiculously overpriced) Games Workshop (warhammer) paint is the best quality around, not ideal colours for cars but very nice to use.

Agreed!!
I did an old Impala coupe model. In Chaos Space Marine blue.
Which is like a matt blue. So cool! And easy to work with too, because it's quite light, if you put a mark on it, or finger print, another coat or two covers it.

They also sell a varnish (clear coat, for all you car-minded people :roll:

), really good brushes and good glue that doesn't leave marks all over the model.

Prada and Gucci nail polish is wicked, and comes in awesome colours for cars.

Bloody expensive in comparison though, but a heap better than "normal" nail polish, which is bloody expensive in its own right.

Undercoat is a must though.

Yea the Arcylic is coming up mint as i dont undercoat just thin down the first coat to get it to stick then do a top coat a little thiker to give it some depth got this far this morning...
