K so today got the rear axel and exaust done and the top coat on the body lookin heaps better...

Also where did ya get the AE86 im thinking i night make a downhill drift track from Initial D and put my models on it hmmm.. have a scene from a mean drift battle supra 86 and a celica would look mint

Get some silver paint for Diff, driveshaft, exhaust etc. Brush the silver on dry (fk all on the brush) so that some dark remains in the fins on diff and in all the nooks. makes it look weathered kinda.

You also need silver behind the headlights :-D

I love tat colour. Its so cloes to baltic blue.

I got it from toyworld in Porirua ($40) and they also has some actual drift car models for slightly more ($50-$60)

galtech models and mr models both have drift models

last time i was in both shops i spotted the ueno soarer and an ae86

i have 4 drift models on the go that really need finishing

a C33 laurel, fc rx7, jzz30 and a 180sx but since shifting house never got round to finishing them

Sweet where are they ill be heading up aucks way from napier soon so ill save some extra moneyz and drop in some places...

Take the old MR2 for a blat i like to play how manytimes can i be pulled up for warrant cheacks on the way... Because look at her she aint pretty to be sure.....

Try 436 models in Hastings, just across from the pak enslave. They might be able to help.

436 models is good. IIIRC i used to buy alot from them back in the day via phone. They were very cheap for the little thngs- ball joints, hinges etc.

Nice models guys. Ive made a few 1/24 models a few years back, my best one was a tamiya 1/20 f1 renault.

I'm keen to find someone who supplied 1/24 wheels, there are heaps of cool of JDM rims in the catalogues, but none of the places I've been to stock anything.
