yep was the first that i know of to get a set and then the guy who made them for me started putting them for sale on trademe so i think quite a few people have them now :roll:

You shouldn't be allowed them unless you're running a supercharger or have carbys

iv seen them run on turbo RBs, v8s etc, from what i understand they are just a pulley that minimise belt sliping.

it might help if someone gives an explanation why this is a problem? and i want facts not what youv heard or what your cousins mates mate heard. thanks

I think they are trying to say that fuel injected n/a engines (like 4ages and shit) arn't 'old school' enough to have gillies.

i think its just cos traditionally they are run on USA/aussie v8s that are carb'd and blown. people i guess are not used to seeing them on a non-blown efi small cube engine.

my opinion, looks good so why not, unless there is some specific performance issue why not to.

cheers guys, just thought id do something a lil out of the ordinary, im thinking they should sound and work allgood too, there one of the things im looking forward to hearing when i get this thing started :D

will chuck up a proper thread for it in members projects when i get some updates as i got some new goodies that are due to be finished soon :wink:

Oldschool cars have them because oldschool cars have blowers and normal belts dont have a hope of driving a huge ass blower without slipping.

Pretty stupid IMO having a 2" wide toothed gillmore drive going to alternator/ac pumps. LOL.

cheers man, yeah i havent got them because i thought my motor was gonna be to much power for a standard belt, i just thought it would be something different and would sound cool..also looks cool too :wink:
