can anyone check toyota engine codes?

Postby xsspeed » Wed May 14, 2008 1:23 pm

Engine number: 4A-2584883 curtesy of carfax

car is a 1994 ae101 levin, has a gt apex sticker on the back and doors just tryna check its got a silvertop in it.

reason is may be buying it sight unseen (apart from pics) so just wanting to confirm.

also is this likely to have the c56 box being a 94 model?

Bit more of the model code needed to confirm

http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/corolla_levin/1994_5/

gt apex sticker on the back
= 20 Valve

Chassis code is

AE101-5232386

Yeah i zoomed in pics and it says gt apex twin cam 20 on the doors, and i think super strut on the rear guard

reason for concern is its a damaged vehicle and may be buying sight unseen

I thought only supercharged ae101's had LSD gb's?
Also from what I gather, only ae111's with superstrut have LSD gb's.
