Putting my dog box in on the weekend, and a new clutch, so I'll have a week to learn to drive my car again, frightening prospect. Noone may laugh at my poor gear selection skills :P

Lith, yeah,i know him from the forums. he was running low 12s and wouldn't lighten the car, so i told him to take the passenger seat out and put 1psi more boost up it , to drop into the 11s. the rest is history. stock turbo world record. there is another guy at 12.1 sec, then me,(3rd fastest in australasia)

BlakeNZ wrote:hi, i won't be able to go to suprafest due to having to attend a centennial that weekend, however , in the interests of promoting competition and pushing the envelope, i will post $100 to any 2jzgte mk4 supra or aristo owner who goes faster than my 12.41sec on standard turbos.
So , if your supra or aristo with standard turbos goes quicker than 12.41sec at suprafest, then you win $100.(if more than one car achieves this, then the money will go to the quicker timeslip) Have a great time guys. all the best. would love to be there.

thanks Blake

next year huh? 8)

Have you thought about a layout for the autocross?
I'm excited and so nervous. I'm sure the car will perform fine on the dyno, which mean's if it doesn't at the drags, it's all my fault haha.

Oh yeah and the autocross - I assume it'll be a slowish layout? So 1st gear stuff?

Got my dog box in, and now I have 2 new problems.

1: For some reason, I can't select reverse. This is fine until after suprafest as long as I think about where I'm parking, and don't end up pointing in a direction I can't drive forwards out of.

2: Massive amounts of fuel are now for no apparent reason being dumped into my engine, it was running sweet as when I turned it off before swapping boxes, and now it hardly runs at all :? This isn't so good, because if I can't fix it in time I'll have to bring my other soarer, which is sloooooow.

Talk about good timing :P

with regards to the fuel, didn't accidentally knock/pinch an earth for the injectors? friend of mine did this once in his 4a and two of the injectors were running 100% duty cycle...

Sorted the fuel issue out, had somehow managed to pull the vacuum line off the MAP sensor, wouldn't have thought the engine would even run like this but somehow it was working still, just very poorly.

Yep definitely going to be there, will need a hand getting on the dyno since i have no reverse gear and no time to fix it, other than that everything seems to be running fine.
