Not being paid for by me, Matt or anyone. It's an extra $3000 for it and in order to recoup that cost, entry would have been in the region of $140 per entry.......

Who was the track official that mentioned it? It's just that I've been liasing with Wendy since February and she knows what we are expecting in the way of services etc. She actually rang me yesterday as she'd heard talk of SupraFest at the Winter Street Meet on Sunday.

As David has mentioned with thanks to FortyOne and Alltech we have both the crash crew and st johns turning up which allows people to go as fast as you can. normally you are stuck with running 13 seconds or more.

Any questions, let me know

Cheers

Both events are going to be SO much fun. I LOVE drag racing - and I've never done auto cross before - YAY :) :)

Regarding the prepping - it's only 2K for half track which would be another $40 for everyone.
I've asked a contact and unfortunately they cant "sneak" some on because they'd have to do it before everyone (other staff) arrives so they don't say anything, but it would be too cold to lay so it wouldn't work.

errr no

Street rubber will only make it worse.
Unless someone with proper slicks goes and does a full width, half track burnout, its not going to be pretty.
At least everyone will be on the same level. 10 second cars? I think not haha

Matt, Ive managed to talk emz into doing the Autocross on the following conditions:
1) I pay for it (done)
2) Robert (flatty doing the autocross in his silvia) has to wear avaitors and a wig (which he has agreed to).
3) BOTH you and me have to do the Autocross in a dress and a wig.

ARE YOU WITH ME MATT???????

I don't think you'll get the 60 ft time. You will get time and speed, as you say, written on a piece of paper.

Ahh i have a feeling my clutch isnt going to like the dyno tomorrow. boosting in 5th gear and the clutch slipped!

Or it was the rears lighting up, but doubt my lil car could do it in 5th on the mway with good tyres! In 4th with cheap tyres in the wet yes!

Oh well, i think i got the knock sensor settled down a little. Will see what happens.. time for new clutch i think

err - you should be doing it in 4th anyway - 5th isn't a straight through gear. And as such it'd load up the engine/clutch more making it more likely to slip.....

When the engine is under full load and producing max torque the shear forces through the clutch will be same in 4th or 5th, i dont see how they would be any less in 4th... Its not like the engine is suddenly producing more torque at the flywheel...
