Were FF cars allowed in the end this year?

In saying that mine probably still won't be ready for 2009 (unless in NA form), maybe turbo in 2010

front wheelers were allowed to drag race. Anything was. There was an "other" class that even had my mates bike :)

What was the reason FWDs werent allowed to dyno? Limited numbers and being Suprafest?

1.Multi purpose venue for example the whole Taupo complex.

2.Drags,Dyno,Track-day...

3.Taupo as a venue I reckon is a good venue heaps of cheap accomodation.

4.Invite the Pro import guys for the drag day...
Do the same for the Track-day for example invite the Superlap winner
and open that up to make the numbers up.

Dyno didn't support FWD's apparently

Yep - agree'd. Taupo would be good. Better pit area and more of an "all in one" venue.

it was how it was setup at their shop. the dyno itself could be used for a fwd, but as they deal mainly with rwds and it was in the corner of their shop to suit that.

The trip would encourage a fun road trip from Auckland and maybe encourage some more people from Welly next year.
Plus theres plenty of things to do around Taupo i.e. bungy jumping, picnic's by the lake, mini-golf, etc.
Is there somewhere in Taupo that would cater for a dyno shoot out?

With regards to the Dyno maybe someone with a Dynapack would be the way to go I'm sure that would'nt be to hard to organise but I reckon Taupo would be more suitable than Hampton Downs as I don't no if the latter could cater for the drags.

Hampton Downs would be awesome!!!
Nice new track, and we could claim to be one of the first clubs to say we were on it. :D
But then would it be fair to have it in Auckland 2 years running??
(as for the drags, meremere is only 800m down the road from Hampton downs, so that would be ok)

As for dyno at taupo...could always see if that company that normally travels around doing the "Auto Salon" would be keen??? Seems there isnt going to be an Auto Salon this year, :( They will be free for bookings. (just would depend on price they charge of course).

I doubt it will be easy to get a booking at hampton downs in the first few months after its opened.

SUMMER! Taupo FTW, both in location and flexibility, have a drag day *and* a track day.

I know a few people will be hesistant about driving on a track (I heard some saying they were frightened even just on the coatseville-riverhead highway cruise) but you can have multiple groups, seperate people into confident and non-confident so those of us with track experience can tear it up and not have to worry about people who are wanting to go slower, and vice versa.
