Sorry for my ignorance but, how do they test it? Bring the revs up slowly to 3,500 and hold it there or floor it till 3,500rpm and get peak reading?

what if you have a 90 degree bend so the exhaust ends up poiting straight at the ground? Would that quieten it at all?

Well f&*k me with a big stick, i got the midas guy to do a db test...93.1db (he said the handheld tester had a +/- of 3db error rate...??) He said I could try and get a LVV test done on it and it would prob come out lower than the legal limit, but that costs more than what its ganna cost to get a new muffler for it

My flatmates standard subby exhaust drowns out my exhaust at idle!!! Even the midas guy was surprised at that reading when he heard me drive away, he too thought it was quiet. (should have gone to him for a wof)

I mean, its a 4AFE with a silenced 2 & 1/4" muffler on the back ffs...im not holding much hope for my 4agTe project

wen droping off box of reds to mate down at midas their boss did a db test on it, 104.7db @ 2000rpm lol thats 2.5in with 1 resonator
