i went in it around taupo, yeah was scary and has a poo load of torque for a little light car. tends to flick the arse out quite happily.

That was on trade me for ages last time. I think I remember the buy now going down to like $12500 or something last time so you should be able to get it for cheaper than the buy now of $14K

Whatever happens, I reckon the car is rad.

Was it very understeery as well?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Sounds like its just a bit too much of a handful of the people who have bought it in the past.

A true mark of a engineering masterpiece 8)

This was a friend of mines car, he also competed in a lot of D1 events also in a 4age powered AE86 (whos engine now lives in my 85)

That 2JZ is truely a handful to most people, awesome awesome car except in the corners. With the right balance of springs though would sort it out.

But that dude is trying to sell it for more then he paid for it.

regardless though, if it went for anything under $25k its a bargin.

is it just me or does the power figure the guy is quoting seem a bit low for a 2jzgte? :?

realising of course alot of it is down to dyno setup and conditions etc, but still.

its only running 9 psi, whats the stock boost for 2jz?

also, 206kw is the factory quoted power, presumably at the flywheel, (whereas the 169kw is atw i guess?) and we all know what toyota is like with its numbers *cough*20v*cough*

whatever the case, 169kw is plenty for a car that size, but to my mind if you are going to put a 2JZ in a car like that it needs to be making 300kw plus - otherwise why not stick with turbo 4age?
