Sandbags in the back to help evenly distribute the weight :)
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

our aristo dyno'd at 166rwkw through an auto box, so with rebuilt ct20a's, and a manual box, it should have a bit higher than that. aristo stock boost is bout .65 bar.

be a good skid car, but i see the driver having to have good skills and a bit more setup to get around the weight problem to make it any good on the track.

an 11 second pass from 1200WHP.

yeah, you'd need alot less than 1200WHP to break 11 seconds with a 4age.

edit - im in no way disputing the mightiness of the 2JZ, i would totally own one if i could afford to buy one. im just saying in that particular vehicle, in terms of the driveability loss it seems to have suffered, the power levels dont really warrant all the extra weight foward of the strut towers.

If you want a fast 86 for around that price that doesn't understeer, there is my one for a similar price... and would use much less fuel.

All though that one does look pretty tidy and a lot of work has been put into it. Hard to imagine what it goes like, must be pretty insane

Can't say that I'm surprised... that thing is an abomination... would certainly turn some heads though.

To me it seems like an odd combination, I would have thought that you would do it the other way around to get the best of both worlds, whereas the Roteza just gets a heavy body and a peaky engine, which usually tends to be a less than optimal combo

It's a 13B turbo yeah? Why do people always say they're peaky?

Every one I have been in has had pretty damn decent torque, at least leagues better than a BEAMS 3S or the 1G they come with.

It's a 13b-REW - which means it has even better low end than a 13b.

Cant say I was too impressed by the BEAMS 3S in the Altezza I test drove. Seemed to be fairly peaky too.

People say the late model rotaries are peaky because they are going off internet waffle and, for most parts, havn't actually driven one.

Exactly...while my S4 lacked low end torque in comparison to the MR2, it still had enough get up and go to pull from sub 3000rpm quite happily.

I think you actually need to go test drive some cars, as everything you comment about power / torque / turbo wise etc, is all based in internet hearsay :? which is clearly not correct.

The Altezza is heavier than any RX7 I've ever driven(a few, not many, but a few). It's just not as nimble as an RX7.

The 3s tends to be "nicer" to drive than most rotaries, I would have said all, but the one in the RX8 is fantastic except a little lacking in the top end(felt strangled) when wanting to fang.

Why am I justifying myself to you anyway.
I drive plenty, I like what I like, I don't overly care if what I say sounds wrong to others, it's my opinion, I'm entitled to it.

Whoa simmer down Mr Defensive!

I like rotary conversions into random cars. There's an E36 coupe in Palmy running some kind of ported NA rotary. It's such a kick ass mindf**k when you hear it nailing down the street.

Bizarro interbreeding ftw! (automotive interbreeding I must add)

I had a go once in a RX8, "randomly" there was my mate in 323ci, and RX8 was a lot faster, a lot....
I've driven a few RX8s and they are very smooth, as in torque they are similar to S2000, only smoother.
So yeah, I am impressed with RX8, but would I put into a toyota? no, I don't like interbreeding makes.

I drove an RX8, seemed like a very nice car, and very smooth. Definitely didn't feel like a monster of a car though, unlike a played with 12a powered RX2 I got taken for a spin in.

However, back on topic ... I'd love to try driving that big engined AE85/6, that'd be a giggle on Manfeild I reckon.
