I like rotary conversions into random cars. There's an E36 coupe in Palmy running some kind of ported NA rotary. It's such a kick buttocks mindf**k when you hear it nailing down the street.

I think the 1J conversion is pretty cool, and would be insane and difficult to drive. It's just a shame no one seems to want to keep it.

Someone needs to buy it, and move the engine about 250mm back, gut the interior and mount a seat and pedalbox close to the back + extended steering column, then a full supergt spec cage and hugely wide wheels and big brakes.

How do you know hw heavy a car is just from driving it? Its apparent weight is based on SO many variables its just not worth even mentioning.

RX8's only have power up top. Yes i have spent time in the drivers seat of one.

3s's are gutless unless talking about the 3sgte (since you have not much driven a turbo car- i'll guess you arent) and all RX7s i've driven have beat cock over any NA 3s.

Yup, just had filter and exhaust, also only on 6 or 7psi, less boost than the MR2 anyway.

they run very lazy timing in the idle to around 2500rpm area with the factory ecu, with an aftermarket ecu you can bump up the timing down low and pick up a lot of bottom end

It needs a new rego. Expired Aug 4th.

Funny how its fully certified but the engine is still listed as code 3A2581636 and capacity is 1,452cc

oath put as much weight behind the front x member as possible
hack the fire wall move everything back ( like the old trans ams or like the ae101 1jzge tran am car in nz )
make the car have a wider track too
that would help things along way better

to much power and weight over the front axle makes for bad handling

nice looking machine..

I reckon this would look allright parked in the garage next to my 6 sylinder starlet..
But man is that engine a loooonnngg way forward. plus you'd need to bump the power up to a more respectable level..

also if it's anything like my car it'd be needing a taller diff, probably around 3.7.
