painting center of brake rotors

what is the best spray paint to use when painting the center of my rotors and calipers? wanting black paint, just like how they do at mag shops

I imagine that high temp brake caliper paint would do both.

I did the hubs in just plain old matt black from a can, no high temp etc. Been on for 8 months, no peeling or heat burn..

lol yeah just go to repco and buy some high temp caliper paint.

they can get pretty hot so i think it'd pay to get the proppre stuff.

You can also buy kits which come with brush and cleaning solution etc.

you'll want something decent for the calipers but any old black paint will be fine for the rotor top hats.

I used Plastikote black semi gloss enamel straight fomr the can been on for nearly a year, still nice and shiney no peeling.

Its all in the prep work.

I asked if they had Barryogen Pink but it only came as nail polish in little girly bottles- and enough to do both calipers was gonna cost me huge bling.

I actually thought you were taking the piss. Its actually a red but its come out very orange..... especially in the pics.

OK. The colour is Chevrolet Orange - and the paint is Dupli-color Engine Enamel (ceramic, 500º etc)

Kinda proves that i should pay attention when buying stuff and not just look at the pictures. It had a red lid which is all i cared about!
