"Richard Peacock, 21, is a company director who owns one of the damaged cars. His car had recently undergone around £35,000 worth of work, and was due to leave the garage next week. He said: 'It's heart-breaking, being my pride and joy.' "

company director with a TVR at 21, good effort!!

They didnt go broke, Peter Wheeler sold TVR to Nikolay Smolensky, said "Some Russian Guy" who preceded to try and make TVR into a quality brand at the detrement to selling cars.
In a tight market Nikolay's managerial skills were questionable and TVR subsequently was broken up into multiple companies (TVR power being one of them) and some of said companies went into recievership. Nikolay then bought back the rights to make the cars and the TVR badge from the recievers. Dirty business practice that left workers and creditors without a leg to stand on.
TVR has since attempted to restart making the cars again under the company name of TVR engineering.
