Well as you know the new drag season is almost here again, been trying to get the supra ready but still way behind, but the cage is in :D at last lol, i was hoping to have a new engine that i am building in before the season starts, but i think i am going to run the old engine untill i get time to get the new engine in  then my old engine will be up for sale proven 800+hp engine, i will talk more about that when its out and ready to be sold, well thats all at the moment will add more as we go on.

we should be seeing some of the new pro import cars this year hopefully, and the ones that are already running will start pulling some even more insane numbers.
should be a good year to watch, the bar is constantly being raised.

There is going to be some serious shxt out there this season. I sortof intend on running my car a little harder than I have in the past - nothing exciting though.

The pro guys are going to be doing lots of 7s and low 8s and the possibility of a 6, we may get our first looowwww 8s (if not high 7s) street legal import, and who knows what other stuff :D

Really interested to see what the RIPS 240Z gets, that must be one of NZ's fastest street legal cars.

That is exactly what I was thinking about when I mentioned street legal cars. He has been and still is a bit busy with it, one of the stresses is finding a dyno to hold it all as they've run out of traction with rollers despite all efforts. It had a variety of things which were well below 100% at the last meet it ran where it did its 8.7 @ 162mph, so expect bigger things this season :D

The way the car looked very recently:

Thats kindof what I am hoping for as well, low 12s on street legal tyred 2WD turbo is still a little bit of a novelty here and I like being novel :D

Nope, even if I did they would be 26x10.5x15s, means truck tyres and prob dont fit on most cars lol.

DYO is a pretty noob friendly class, pretty even when it comes to racing too. Do a few practice runs, write your time on your window and away you go. You learn your car heaps better too.

auto mk4's generally run 13.6-13.7 all day long with a pretty decent trap speed. I've seen 3-4 examples do this consistently.

maybe if you got a good track and get the 60 ft's right down you'll get down to the soarers ET, the soarers seem to be particulary good at getting off the line for some reason, maybe due to a bit less torque or something.
