Hey guys, what do you have installed in your car?

I have a small yet tidy setup that hasnt cost me alot of money and puts out good sound :)

Head Unit: Panasonic 5403w cd/mp3/aux/3rca preout's
Speakers: Fusion Encounter 6.5" Splits

both sets of encounters are run off an old 4ch sony amp and sound mint.

I Currently have a 12" MTX sub and pioneer Monoblock amp running, but have just purchased a Focal 13" 400w RMS Sub and MTX 6500d mono block (Off trademe ofcourse, stuff paying the price for new components of this spec!) , Hopefully that will throw the bass abit better

Pioneer DEH-P7800MP - Colour OLED display, 5V preouts etc etc
Rainbow SLX265 6.5' Mids
Audiophile Tweeters
Rainbow Hammer 10' dual 2 ohm coils Sub - Made a custom box behind passengers seat.
Caliber CA2000D+ Class D amp, 1 Ohm stable, (possibly .5ohm) Running the hammer at 1Ohm (1250WRMS or there abouts)
Rockford 400.4 Bridged to 2 channel for the mids and tweeters

Needs more sound deadening.

Unlike a few of ice mag guys, who will spurt off a list of wankey gear they own, mines actually in the car and not just sitting on the shelf :P

Haha yeah, its about all you need for a car of that size. Amps kinda take up the whole frunk, spare wheels are for chumps anyway :P

Pioneer DEH-P6950 heady
DLS R6A 6.5 2way components
E Audio 480AB (bridged to 2ch for driving comps)

All I need. Sounds absolutely brilliant for what it is (or isn't).

Oh...

The KP has a Clarion (DXZ-746mp?) of some description, running to an Audison 4ch amp bridged into 2 running some archaic Sony 6x9's I found in a cupboard at home one day.

small system in one, bigger in the other

in the ae101 fxgt =

Pioneer DEX-P90RS with DEQ-P90 Processor
Pioneer Amplifiers 4x75wrms running 3 way Active Fronts consisting of Morel 9inch Midbass in the doors - with Focal 5inch in the kick panels and Focal tweeters
Pioneer Subs 12inch running from JBL BP1200.1 amp
dvd + screens and other misc bits and peices,
Layers (one on the not so important panels and 2 layers on the important ones) of dynamat extreme keeping the noise out, and the sound in.

and in the other car, toyota allex

Pioneer DEH-P9450 head unit
factory fronts running off head unit,
JBL 10inch sub + running off a 4x50wrms pioneer amplifier

Its a shame there are no decent Sound quality competitions in new zealand

you might want to check the surround on that sub that you bought off trade me (depending on how old / how much use it has had)
Nothing to see here ...

Head unit:
KD-AVX2 JVC DVD/CD Receiver with Built in 3.5-Inch Monitor

Standard fronts for now...

Standard rears (will keep them standard)

just got a:

12 JBL 1000w Sub in JBL box
and
Soundstream 4ch 620w amp

when i get some more cash im going to get some front components and probably run them of the same amp, leaning towards some infinity/alpine ones

Hmmm...

Pioneer P80RSII Headunit, and 12 disk stacker
Atomic Quantum 3-way components
Atomic Quantum 10" Subwoofer
Caliber CA475+ and 2000D+ amps.

Sounds pretty damn nice as far as I'm concerned, could always be better but I think Ive hit the right balance between money spent and sound quality gained

I have a pioneer P80RSII and some fusion enfr653s, so lets just say my setup is kinda out of balance, i have ye olde pile of audio in the cupboard though, waiting for me to do something about it.

In car -
Panasonic iPod ready heady
Alpine DDDrive 6.5 components (front)
Kenwood 6.5 co-axials (rear doors)
Eaudio 1000D (sub amp)
Atomik MA10 (sub)

Wanky on shelf list -
Pioneer TSW3001D4 Competition Sub
DLS UP6 6.5 components

If I don't sell it, I will eventually replace the DDDrive's with the UP6's and get them amped, and put Pioneer sub in with proper inclosure. It was in the car, but kept poppin fuses until I put on a bigger ground wire on the amp, but still would make lights dim with every bass note, so will get better power cable next.
