'97 Carina GT 20v 4age

Postby -MATT- » Sat Oct 11, 2008 12:18 am

Well just this week I purchased a mint condition 1997 Toyota Carina GT as I wanted a change from my AE92 Trueno. It's done only 138,000k's, manual, and has the awesome Black-top 20v 4age motor. I have only seen a handfull of these Carina GT's and most have been auto so I was stoked to come across this one! Will eventually get it lowered, some thin spoke mags to give it that touring car look, exhaust ect.. definitely looks kind of European from some angles.
Has anyone else had much experience with these cars?

Cheers, Matt

Looks nice.
Good score getting the manual too. Is it five speed or six speed?

Yeh there related to the Celica, similar chassis with the 5X100 stud pattern, AT210 or something

Saw one of these at a card yard in palmy on thursday and looked quite nice (was lowered on AztecX's).

This should be a 5speed one (5speed: 8/96-8/98, 6speed: 8/98-12/01)

I'd probably hit 17s over 18s..... unless you get paid well and like a BUMPY ride. But I am a bit biased :)
