How to remove paint drips?

I tried painting my daily drive this week,

Did everything well, sanded it very nice (3 days infact...), washed the car like 5 times over, wiped it all down with prepsol twice and sprayed it with a hvlp gun.

Now, everywhere else is mint ! but the drivers side is like omfg so much drips... i don't know why i oversprayed it so much :cry:

Is there a good method of fixing this? as it looks really shit. im thinking... Sand it a bit and cut and polish? or any other ideas ?

really you should colour sand the whole car, should bring it up good. then a few coats of clear coat. leave it a few weeks before the polish.

I managed to clean up a few small runs with a sharp razor blade to scrape it off then blend it with some autosol , but it would depend on how bad they are and what paint it is if it will work well or not

drivers side is pretty bad eh lol, i'll leave it to completely cure for a couple of days, sand it down really carefully and if i screw up, i still have paint left to paint a drivers side so ....

just let it go off, mask out the panels that are bad, re sand it and paint again but not too dry either it will look worse you got any pics?

car painters ?

sure if its some cheap arse, im no pro by any stretch of the imagination, but i have painted 4 cars now, and only ever had one run, and that was from not having a water trap on the gun, so it wasnt even a run,

but a painter who knows what they are doing, knows how to control the gun and doesnt get runs, etc

as said above,

sand back the affected panel, prep and repaint, re clear coat, allow for at least a week before attempt to cut it back, more like 2-3

cut it back with cutting compound and water,

of course they arent gonna say they get runs

i worked at a panel beaters for over a year, they get runs heaps and just sort them out

the car's only had one coat of paint, i do have all the gear to machine cut and polish, and also have 3M compounds as i regularely polish my other car.

Do i just compound the runs like i would usually cut and polish my other car until i don't see the runs? sounds like a LOT of time... lol i'll give it a try.

Paint is getting pretty hard now,

pics that were taken with my phone before paint, need to move the final painted photos off my phone, i'll put some more up later
