Shifter Boots - Anyone in NZ that specialises in these?

Postby MrOizo » Mon Oct 27, 2008 10:11 pm

As the topic.

I'm after having one made up for the Supra. Only place i have been able to find is something from the US: http://www.redlinegoods.com/productsToyota.shtm Awesome quality.
Can also do custom work which is what i am after also - only a minor modification.

Cheers!

Its only 4 pieces of leather with a ring sewn in the top... any upholsterer should be able to do it... theres a few around, marine and auto upholstery shops, can even re-trim steering wheels (but was around $250+ last time I priced it)...

go to the red light district in your local town, and there will be a place that specialises in "leather goods" they will be able to get you whatever you are after... including some high quality leather.

Either that or a place that makes leather jackets, or shoes.

hell, for the amount needed, they could probably give you offcuts.

I thought he was taking the piss about going to a red light district :/ but yeah - a group buy might be in order. will try to find a manufacturer locally.

heh, nah I wasn't taking the piss... one of the dodgier chicks here at work showed me some custom stuff she had made(don't ask, she's old enough to be my mother and I'm old as it is), it was fantastic, some of the best metal and leather work I've ever seen.

It seems that when going dodgy, quality is where its at :)
