Kuhmo have developed the worlds 15 profile tire, seriously who new there was a need for it, but here it is http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/05/kumho-keeps-a-low-profile-with-worlds-first-15-series-tire/

Who off here's going to be the first to buy some?

Finally enough tyre to keep my 540 on the road with it's 2120KW of power :)

I would definately like to see a 195/15/14. though if they did a R13 I could put it on the corona.

Chuck some 155's on and get the mean stretch too 8O

They'd almost fit on the BMW too with the right offset:

When i got my new wheels, and got 205/40/R17's ( potenza g3's ), it felt allot rougher ride than the old factory rims/tyres.

Probably.

But you have to remember that the height of a tyre is a factor of the width by the aspect ratio. (can't remember if this is diameter or radius)

So it would be 385*15% 57.75mm.
where as your 205/40/17s would be 82mm.

So it's low but not too much lower.
If your 205's ran at the same height it'd be on only 35mm which would be crazyness.

I can get prices on the asymetrics, what size are you looking at?

edit: jesus im a twat.. there is only one size as far as i can see.. haha.. will find a price..

Not anymore as I have been told that it is a big no-no to put asymmetrics on a BMW 540i due to the size of the car and the camber of the wheels. 'Cos I had wanted to put Yokohama C-Drive Tyres on the BMW as they have been magnificent on the Celica.

My tyre guy literally looked at me like I needed to go to time out.

Edit: Sorry I thought you meant the Goodyears as I didn't think there'd be a price just yet for the Kumhos. Though if you could tell me whether the tyre guy was right or not would be cool too.

Also the price for the Kumhos would be nice to know for shits and giggles.
