When i got my new wheels, and got 205/40/R17's ( potenza g3's ), it felt allot rougher ride than the old factory rims/tyres.

silly buggers.
Not anymore as I have been told that it is a big no-no to put asymmetrics on a BMW 540i due to the size of the car and the camber of the wheels. 'Cos I had wanted to put Yokohama C-Drive Tyres on the BMW as they have been magnificent on the Celica.Bradles wrote:I can get prices on the asymetrics, what size are you looking at?
edit: jesus im a twat.. there is only one size as far as i can see.. haha.. will find a price..

You'd probably need a cert for those.
The car would be within 100mm of the ground

but would the tyre be within 100mm of the ground? (and just coz people never get my jokes) eg... imagine car sitting with chassis on ground and tyres still not touching road:P )
and further to this, if the driven wheels cant reach the ground, thus the vehicle not being able to move, does it still count as a vehicle, and need a cert or does it become a structure?
