I have seen alot of articles especially about there latest twin supercharged version 901 HP.They were testing it at the Nurburgring with a few other exotics they went onto say that the power delivery was'nt that great and it did'nt come on until 8000 rpm and then it really was untouchable. The OCT/Sept EVO mag was the source and out of all the exotics tested the Koeniggsegg was the slowest by a fair margin to unfortunately. So I guess in the flesh they'll look great but I'm afraid it will take someone special to get the true performance out of one though.

"The story went like this. There was only one CCXR in existence, the first-ever biofuel-powered Koenigsegg. Now the possession of a valued customer, the worth of this car was said to be greater even than its £606,000 price tag suggested.
The understanding was that once the Stig and I had spent enough time at the wheel to secure our cover feature, one of Koenigsegg's senior engineers would take over the responsibility of driving the car between photographic locations for us. We'd all be safer that way.
And so it was that I found myself a passenger in the biggest crash I've ever experienced.
Between the blur of the approach, the hit, the spins, the ditches, the field, the adrenaline, the shouts, the blue lights and the picking out of pieces of grit and dirt from my eyes, ears and scalp, some details I can remember."

Now that doesn't sound right. For starters, a S/C's bringing in power at 8000RPM? Thats huge turbo terratory.
I agree that it'd take someone special to really make the most of it though. Love him or hate him, the Stig is a good driver, and even he spun out the Koiniggzzeeiggzzeg.
Hmm... Might be time to look for a mod for rFactor or GTR Evolution...
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

No what I meant was thats where it was hitting its sweet spot the reason why it got beaten by the other cars it did'nt have the low end torque out of the corners. These are the test drivers comments not mine.It to did not make sense to me as I also thought with the twin superchargers it would be awesome off the bottom but against the Zonda F Enzo Carrera GT and Maserati SC 12 it just was'nt as good out of the slow corners against the above mentioned.

P.S they also managed to have a big crash in the Koeniggsegg as well.

i'm pretty sure they are the type of supercharger that increases boost with rpm, similar to a turbo. correct me if i'm wrong though.

EVO magazine usually do a pretty unbiased article too so i'd be inclined to believe them.

yea but no matter how long it took to get full potential, where could you use it here anyway? it would just be the fact of saying...."the koeniggsegg? yea thats mine mate" and knowing you have the only one in southern hemisphere. oh and track days ofcourse

that would suggest centrifugal superchargers. which fit with the twin s/c idea
i found some engine pics online.... but its kinda cluttered in there, couldnt see any chargers

I doubt the interior is considered a deal breaker for most people interested in purchasing one :P
