Upgraded Intercooler $400
Upgraded Intercooler Fan $250
Rebuild CT26 $1200
TRD Springs $600
KYB Shocks $800
3" Dump Pipe $299
Exhaust $1000
Mags n Tyres $2000

Just a tad of $5000 more and youve got a pretty sweet gen 1 that would kick a Gen 3.

I disagree. A gen3 is a better allround car to start with not to mention 100x easier to sell when you have had enough.

And the fact they arent always that much more! I picked up my gen 3 turbo for $5900 8) 8)

with those mods... im sorry to say i still don't see a gen1 with a rebuilt whatever ct26 pissing over a gen3 with a $50 boost controller 8)

And also to add, your likely to find a gen3 in MUCH better condition than a gen1. Finding a good gen1 is like a needle in a hay stack.

Gen1 owners... Many... MANY abuse the car and don't really give a damn because they are cheap as chips now.

Most gen3 turbo owners are Fkn Anal about their car.

+ Gen3 provides a better base to go performance wise until around 300hp mark. AFter that, same for either

but then again, i should add that you'd be lucky to even find a gen3 turbo for sale in the first place.

I think Adamal was being witty about the ad, rather than defending it :)

Actually, I was just pointing it out. They're WAY rarer than the Jap imports, but still the price is unreasonable.

They have a 260kph speedo, and yea, they're not limited to 180kph.

If you're interested, other differences include:

- No side indicators next to the front indicators. They're located behind the wheel arch on the front guards.

- No fog lights. Bumper doesn't have holes where fog lights would go either

- Front indicators have clear strip in the middle for the park lights

- Isn't labeled as G-Limited or anything like that, just called 'MR2'

- Non turbo only
