That's a good point actually, at the end of the day, it's definitely much cooler than factory!

besides which, 1uz's aren't particularly powerful in near stock form anyway, usually ~135-145wkw,it certainly wouldnt be any more powerful than a stock GTT would be and the little v8's are suprisingly lightweight too.

(it probly was a bit overkill with TT's though  )

Wiki says they're between 191 and 215kw, depending on the year... slightly more than 145

For sure,

Although its amazing how some people manage to stuff up making a 1UZFE sound good.

Bad muffler choices, running into a single and out with bad Y joins etc.. horrible at times! Also factory headers arent too great either..

I still need to get headers and get rid of the the cats for my Soarer but so far with just 2.25" tube from the cats, an H pipe and a pair of straight through Audi mufflers it does sound the business, just be more clear and crisp with headers which are hopefully be on the way next year.... currently it has that nice V8 American sound going on, fairly deep too.

and can handle over 300 K of metric converted pony poer with next to no modifications to the engine itself ..

I know of a 320+ KW RWD St185 in Australia - thats till running stock 1uz bits , thats fairly nice - for something intended as a " luxury " motor
