Its possible that the clutch is buggered. I had a mate with an AW with a GZE which had that problem.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

it will limp, and not recognise the throttle is wide if this not turning on the s/c and not providing spark or fuel at the correct RPM

i would be very suspect of the dizzy pick up and map.

its perfectly possible to have intermittent ignition faults, or faults that only show under certain conditions

Keep driving it !!! It's getting better all the time. By the time you
put another 100 km on it, should be sweet as :)

Update:

I noticed when the boost came on, it only boosted to 5psi, so i rechecked the IC plumping. err, yes, a "quick" check was obviously performed, there was a major clamp loose and thus boost leak. Fixed that, and its back to ~10psi (12psi pulley fitted).

However, the S/C is still intermittent.

Had the S/C relay checked by a professional last week, and was ok on the bench. However, i'm told that doesnt mean allot.

Will probably drop off the car at to a auto sparky next week and just isolate if its electrical or mechanical, and go from there.

Perhaps a pemanent ON for the S/C ? during testing?

Solved.

It was the ECU. Inserted a loaner ECU, and problem goes away. When ever i insert my ECU, problem comes.

A BIG thanks to Rick for the loaner ECU!

Wanted: ECU for Map 4agze (AE101)
