Even a 1500cc crap box car can go 180kph, It'd be a pretty thinly stretched argument to say that a slightly larger engine was the main contributing factor in a crash, given that it's responsible use of the right foot which governs how fast pretty much any vehicle is travelling at.

Although I guess that's not to say that some police officer/lawyer/judge/whoever might try it on though, so I see your point.

It's not so much the engine swap as the quality of the workmanship of the installation and whether the chassis, brakes etc are up to the job, esp if the car is a daily driver.
