Brand New Jag E Type

Postby rolla_fxgt » Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:29 am

here's a guy whose got some patience, and obviously a bit of time and money. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/08/man-builds-entire-jaguar-series-3-e-type-from-unused-factory-par/

I'm very impressed. Anyone here want to try building a toyota from scratch? :D
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983

Don't blame Jaguar, blame the US safety requirements at the time.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Haha, dam I've heard alot of bad stories about Jaguar build quality back in the day. Same with anything that was british... Don't seem to hear the same stories about other car manufactures

Wow thats excellent.

I've been in an original 1973 V12 Jag and the age does have a factory on it, brilliant car none the less aside from its frequent problems.

Theres just something about Jags. Even with their faults.... And its a good something.

Although, as classy as the E-type and XJ series are, I'd say this is more me:

Yea, the new XK's are friggen nice. Designed by the same guy who does the Aston Martin design.

The XF is nice as well. The cocept was better though

I love your taste but would rather have the XK150 S FHC with the 3.8 litre XK and the 4 speed with moss overdrive.

I spent a week in an XJS V12, and I have to say it was the single worst vehicle I have experienced in my life. This is coming from a person who has owned a Fiat Uno at one stage, so I know rubbish cars when I see them.

Back in the days when I worked in a rental car company, one of our most frequent customers owned a Jag. Which meant he spent his whole time driving a Mazda 323 rental car while they tried to fix his Jag. He bought a Commodore, and we never saw him again after that
