supra torsen LSD?

Postby matt dunn » Sun Dec 14, 2008 2:57 pm

What model of supra come out with the torsen LSD rather than the plate type?

Think it was the JZA80 series?

and are they a G series diff?

If so what would the diff code be if I was looking for one?

i've got a torsen in my mk3, which run the G series. think the code ends in a 9? the plate lsds end in a 5, which is 4 pinion lsd. ie the 3.9 plate lsd that everyone usually gets is a g315 lsd.

Even *some* of the N/A MKIV supra's came with the Torsen LSD (Dunno about MKIII's) you can check mkiv.supras.org.nz under 'specifications' to see which ones did, and it also has the Number somewhere in something like the VIN plates, that site also shows that.

This is for the Manual Supra, 4.11:1 (R154)

the G319 is also a torsen, one with Auto, 3.9:1 (A342E)

I'm going to hazard a guess and say its a 4.1:1 clutch type lsd.

Do you want an entire diff or just the center?
