lol I saw this article and I was wondering whether to post it or not? But then I thought, nah, there is no way somebody is going to miss this one... but yeah, not the sharpest knife in the block... wasn't there another article about a Cefiro driver who totalled himself and a mate in Napier last month?

Is it a Cefiro thing? :?

Most munters can't afford real "drift" cars, thats where Cefiros come in.... cheap and nearly always auto. But they are rwd au, so they are drift cars.

Hence the guy in the article has one, clearly a munter

*No offense if you happen to have a Cefiro and are not a munter.

Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

theres been more than a few highly competitive cefiro drifters.

the cefiro is a perfectly capable car, in many ways

its the owners that set them apart! people need to learn to distinguish the difference... kind of like hondas (awesome) vs average honda owner (muppet)

Haha pretty much, cause any munter with $800 in their back pocket can get there hands on one. Guess thats why I've always hated those cars

Lucky man brick! What sort of car was it?

My biggest fear is for it to fall / roll forward while you are underneath working on something like the gearbox. It would suck to get your head squished!

I was worried enough when I could sense my car about to fall of its jack with one wheel off. I had to scurry to get my second jack and restablize it.
Screw being under it at the time, is all i've gotta say!

I generally shake my car a little after raising it but before taking wheels off. Just to check it's stable before I put my head under it

If i'm under my car i usually chuck a couple of spare rims under a door sill. That way unless I put on a lot of weight I should be safe from being crushed :?

It might have a current Reg & WoF, but it might be a while before it gets another!

Wheels wider than the kit, exposed rear tyres as bits of the kit are missing, wonky headlights... yup, a track/race car for now!

PS. Does look good though :P

I pulled my car off the jacks tightening a tie rod end not so long ago, was squatting next to the car which was supported by two jacks that just keeled over. Not sure I couldve applied that much force from underneath the car but it was a fecking wake up call nonetheless. The scariest thing at the time was inspecting for damage since it had no front wheels on it, I expected a pool of oil to instantly come from underneath the car but miraculously it landed on a can or crc that shock absorbed its fall and one of the jacks wedged under the crossmember which somehow prevented any real damage 8O

I dont think you can be too hard on that guy (well you can, but for other reasons), Ive been mucking around with cars for a long time and it is easy to get complacent, if I hadve been under the car it prolly wouldve been curtains...

Wheels are allowed to be out btw, just the tread of the tyre isn't ;)

Sorry, I did mean the tyres! [makes mental note to be more precise-like] :p Dunno or sure, they do look wider, guess you'd have to see 'em up close... take it for a drive even! lol
