guys on toymods swear by the redline stuff for their w series and r154 is it? there was a recent thread on it in their forum.

i'm sure i didn't pay that, i get it somewhat cheaper because i'm in the airforce and we get a deal with BNT, around $22 per qt. i needed 4 for my e series box.

yea but my 60foot was sh*t..... :(

what psi were u running in the tyres.

Also with These tyres you can afford to launch at high rpm and let it wheel spin a bit cos the tyres will grip!

I launch at 5500rpm with the same tyres on my FWD.

bazda do you run a puk clutch or single plate

Well i'm used to it now so it kinda just feels like a normal clutch to me lol.

To me its not that bad at all. I got the rallypak version which has really thick plates therefore you can slip it alot more than the normal twin plate clutches.

It is much harder on your drive train, you have to rev match when you down shift, and you cant just dump the clutch on a launch with drag tyres (well I cant I snap cvs or drive shafts) might be diff with a rwd though.

Don't use Royal Purple in R154's or W5x boxs. Not worth it.

BNT Trade for Redline is about $16-$20 a bottle depending how nice they are feeling on the day. I know cause I've had it for $16/bottle :)

MrOizo wrote:Could always do a read up on the Royal Purple. Its reccommended for the 6 Speeds. should be something out there for the W5X's.

Its about $15/L!! nice and cheap! (STA Parts)

Have a read on supramania / supraforums!

You're pretty limited with the torque your engine will produce, a multiplate clutch is really your only other option.

Yeah with your engine and those power figures I would def invest in a multi-plate clutch. Most should help with driveability, plenty of people driving the likes of manual Ford F6's/typhoons without any problems

guys in the states say carbon/carbon twin plate clutches are the way to go, apparently really smooth, take the punishment, last a long time,

but you get what you pay for, they aren't cheap.

i think ford had clutch issues to start with and had to rectify it? i think they got it sorted though. correct me if im wrong.

definately get what you pay for. people i know with mega $$$ HKS twin plates etc claimed they were great to drive, and the cars never jerked or rattled when i was passenger.

I run a quarter master twin plate.

I dont think you need a twin plate, the other supras at the drags i'm sure just run single plates with a beefy as pressure plate!
