Not too bad a day for it. Hopefully nobody else had any mishaps on their way to meet up with the cruise.

Was a good day.
We left at just the right time, however I stopped to see my mum in Duvauchelle and by the time I was on my way back the rain was so heavy my window wipers couldn't keep up. Parts of the road were flooded and visibility was almost zero, all I could see was the tail lights of the car in front of me. So the entire trip back was at 50-60km/h. This saved me heaps in petrol though 8)

Good turn out, mint cruise over, good work there on the barbie Mike.

Was an interesting drive back! As above was lucky to see the car in front at some stages and heaps of people pulled over which was good, so carried on past them  Summit road was all good on the way back, some decent pot holes though and in and out of the clouds

We hit hail for the hole decent from the top of the hills to Cooptown. It certainly slowed our decent time down, other than the bits where we were ROLLING on hail stones!

We hot heavy rain about 20kms from chch, many people in modrn vhicles with fast wipers had pulled over, I just grabbed my balls and drove through the inch (maybe not) of sitting water on the road!

:-D :-D :-D

We got that too, but were stuck behind a bike that slowed right down for the corners and got in the way, but then sped up anywhere I might be able to get past.

Rainx FTW.

Thanks for a good day out guys. Cheers all

Thanks to all that turned up. 10 cars (7 of them with 3s in them), and about 15 people (?)
See I can lead a cruise and not take off and leave y'll behind. Lol. (tho did on the way back  )
Weather was ok at Akaroa, only a little shower. But insane weather on the way back. Wipers on full yet still couldnt see very well.
Funny to see WEE M8 on the side of the road on the way home  The rain wasnt that hard.

On to the next cruise. :D

Yep good cruise Mike

Luke, Dan & I went back via Summit Road which was good, WEE M8 was waiting for us & joined us as we went past. Then Daniel & me went over Gebbies pass & stopped at Corsair Bay for a Mr Wippy - then home & half hour later thunder/lightning/hail/rain.

Already looking forward to the next one

Also anyone with contacts (acommodation/trackday/grasskhana/gocarts/etc etc) who may have idea's re Mega meet2009 should get in contact probably through moderator 'Luke' so we can get the ball rolling.

Cheers,
Mark

WEE M8 followed me through all the insane hail/rain storms was pretty lol as could hardly see anything and with faulty aircon (which means its always on high heat) I had to have my windows down slightly to avoid dying of heat

Aircon sorted now though Mark so if you want yours sorted *plug* Christchuch Auto Air (180 Durham st) did a mint job getting mine all fixed up for a fair price.
