yeah hose with a bolt hoseclamped off works, aslong as the bolt doesint have a huge thread on it..

also if both hoses come from the same side of the thermistat you can just use a small loop of heater hose, doesint matter if it gets folded/crimped off with a tight bend to use least hose posibail...

Sorry to bring up an old thread......just wanting to double check before its too late

So it is ok to just weld up the holes (highlighted in green) if the whole heater unit has been removed??

Cheers

Ahh true.
Yea, I have that at the moment, but am hopeing that im correct in thinking that no water will flow throu it as I have totally removed all the heater unit, as im wanting to turn the T-stat around to face 180 the other way as its a RWD set up, and cant have any pipes there otherwise I cant turn the t-stat around (if that makes any sence) lol

Hope they never change that law too!!
Cause when I brought the car it had no heater unit due to the cut in the firewall to allow the silvertop lol
