A GTT would be heaps more practical than a GT4
About $1.5k with a driven performance turbo and manifold, plus all the extra bits and pieces (don''t recomend the DP turbo fitting kit as it doesn't have many parts you will use), not including labour. You will want (need) a new downpipe made up, and there's a possibility of broken studs to deal with.
You could price up a genuine toyota turbo from the 2000 onward models which don't have the warping issue due to correct manifold design. They have a different part number for the studs, so I don't know if you have to replace the studs, or if it will bolt straight up.
From memory the new toyota turbo was around 2-2.5k (maybe including labour?).
