Bonnet should just have threaded holes from memory

yea bonnet has thread holes, with the struts the only bolt that came with it was the bolts to hold it inside the engine bay. where it bolts to the bonnet is just a plastic bracket, which doesnt seem to line up with the thread holes on the bonnet...appears to need a bracket between the strut and the bonnet as the plastic bolt hole is at an angle to the bonnet thread...make sense?? will get pic up tonight after work. cheers

Going by that, I'd be going with no brackets

The part where it attaches to the bonnet is a ball and cup type joint. There is a bolt similar to a clutch fork pivot that screws into the bonnet and the end of the strut has a cup on it that fits snugly over the ball. If your struts don't have that cup, then you have the wrong ones.

i had it around the wrong way  ....in saying that, its a different setup to the above picture in the link. the ball and cup at the bonnet, and just a pivot bolt at the base...with the actual strut being the other way around compared to the picture.....i was tired.

thanks all!
