following in the footsteps of John Britten, but with 4 wheels.

good to see he decided on a 'real' V8:

You mean Sir Anthony Hopkins? :)

Its good to finally see the Hulme F1 get off the ground. I thought it was going to get perminantly shelved.

$5 million to get to where it is now. Estimated selling value of $300,000. I hope most of that $5m was R&D, and not the manufacturing cost!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Thats $300,000 Euros is'nt it roughly $700,000 NZD yep strictly for the rich and you probably won't see any of these out on a rainy day.

Bit of a feel good vibe to it as well they came back fromn the share market crash hopefully the car sells well overseas because I can't see to many NZers rushing down to by one.

Possibly not the best time to be selling a supercar.

That said, I think this car was 'announced' two + years ago, so it might be some time before the vehicle is in production anyway.

The engine choice is piss poor in my opinion. Technology from 30ies in my opinion is a bit old.

Yeah, I was a bit disappointed to see the engine choice but they are probably restricted by budget and the Chebby would be the cheapest option.

i wouldn't say that the engines a piss poor choice, those ls7 engines are relatively new and ive heard nothing but good about them, certainly are not 30's. V8's have changed since soviet russia :D

i think that would be great fun for a stomp

did they use lexus engines in the late 60's early 70's?

what engine was fitted to the car that Denny Hulme drove that this car was based on, and got it's name from??

anything other than a Chev would have been sacrilige, and they may have needed a name change, as i don't believe his estate would allow anything else?

Sorry, but LS-X series engines = ownage.
I personally feel that I would have a hard time deciding whether to carry out the all too popular LS1 swap into my RX7 should the 13b go pop.

I know, I know, sacrilege even to myself.
But headers and a cam and intake and you net 500whp and torque to spin the earth backwards! In a car that isnt a truck underneath to boot!
Rotors dont even have the option of swapping out a cam!
