Yes a new pb with the 10.55 but have done a 10.57 befor, getting used to the new th400 taking time as with the c4 i was getting flat 1.6 60foots and with the th400 was only getting late 1.7 so was slow coming of the line, and yes i need to change gear sooner as i was hitting the rev limitter lol, and it was so f@#! hot that slowed a lot of cars down, but the best thing was beating Joe Kyle gtr twice that made the day for me.IH8TEC wrote:was mint day. who went, who's got good photo's
trytnc ran 8.43 on one of the runs i saw, rips 240 or 280 whatever, 8.2 new pb, nikki dunlop 8.88 new pb, there was one evo that i saw ran 10.87 then never ran again i dont think, that was his first run very fast, no cage,
aussie's went down 3-0 to rayglass, full credit to them though, they had troubles hooking up between the 20 and 40ft mark, which unsettled the car way too much. grummpe did 2 runs but i beleive broke something and that was it. both very impressive cars.
john shannon 10.55, is that a new pb mate, i thought it was, car seemed to be getting better and better all day.
umm, and the GBR boys in the nz's fastest rotary, very nasty crash, 120mph at half track then got loose, rolled about 3 or 4 times, then went end over end, and some f wits were cheering, he was damn lucky to be alive after that, and to walk away as well. cars a write off though. looked very smooth off the line and heading for a 7sec pass, bit of a shame.
rayglass ran 6.94 i think it was. good days racing though, but as we all know there were a couple of tards out there that nearly ruined it for everyone, including the guy who was broadcasting crap on the safety channel, almost ceased racing completely.
apart from that good days racing. titty comp was crap, and some girls dont know definition of a bikini
also a shame that madmike got kicked out, he arrived, borrowed someones oil cooler, then did a 400m burnout up the drag strip, sounded beautiful and really crisp, entertained the crowd alot, but then got asked to leave, becuse it was basically sponsored by V. pretty crap if you ask me considering all the other cars with energy drink sponsors got to stay, ie robbie ward coccaine energy drinks, monster energy, and demon energy cars, but hey, what can you do, full credit to him for showing up and getting the crowd going.
that is all, who's got pics.

Thays true i thought its was just me but up to half track it was hard work keeping it straight.IH8TEC wrote:accordign to dan (driver) it has alot more power left in the motor, matter of building up to the fast times i guess, ie get used to how it handles etc. they wanna rebuild but i dear say it will be another chassis
anyone else notice that the track was getting worse and worse in later on? guys seems to be spinning it up just before half track but wasn't oil otherwise the track staff would have been onto that.

the reson i was bouncing of my rev limiter i was trying to keep the car straight as the back end was getting a bit uncomfotable.Lith wrote:audi man wrote:Thays true i thought its was just me but up to half track it was hard work keeping it straight.
Funnily enough the impression I have is that the high power guys found the traction not too bad but ran into problems at half track around the point that CBR crashed. Pac, RIPS and (obviously) CBR all had runs in the right hand lane within about 10 minutes of each other which were very clean and straight until around the half track mark and then ran into pretty major issues.
