for steel just pop down to your local engineering firm or if they cant help, see steel and tube in seaview.

For panel steel and sheet, go visit Ki Ora Metals in Newtown.

Unfotuntaly your lengths wouldnt be off cuts, and thus will need to pay normal price.

The other place I use is metalman? - yellow building across the road from Dicksmiths on Vivian Street.

Remember to get 3mm side wall in your tube

From memory the 5mm alloy racetech brackets I had to get to mount my new 4009 series seat were around the 300 mark

i just flaked out on making some (tad short on time at the moment) and got the nzkw ones they say they meet msnz spec it has the 3mm steel side brackets and sliders that lock on both side so should be legit

they are good. had to visit them for work when i needed a high tensile steel bar in a hurry, sorted me out quickly, was cheap too.

I've got a sliding seat bracket for racing bucket seat into AE101 in the shed. For a few pennies it could be yours.

i have AE92 seats in my AE101, but unsure if anything was swapped during fitment.

well got the nzkw brackets today and fitted them hit a slight snag i cant mount them fixed because my knees are in such a way as they hit the steering wheel so i thaught hmm ill fit the slider all good but same issue its ether far enough back where my legs clear the wheel but its so far back that its not really safe but when my seat is forward legs hit the steering wheel the seats are actually mounted lower than the factory any ideas was thinking of a new steering wheel as the factory one is rather large

Those quick release kits bring them heaps closer to you, normally really uncomfortable tho as they bring it quite a bit forward. Sounds ideal for you tho.

i like a close wheel, but legs stretched out a bit

sounds like a new steering wheel is the go i didnt think those quick release kits we street legal that would be a rather good anti theft too get in to steel ahh no steering wheel to drive away with lol

bit of an update seats are in have a deep dish steering wheel and normal bosskit while its a bit better because the wheel is smaller it would be nice to have the wheel a bit closer as the legs only just fit around it are those quick release boss kit add ons legal for road use ???? i think it would give me that extra length or does anyone know where to get a longer bosskit
